Festival 2026 – Get ready for an unforgettable performance from the Shea Butta Band! Known for their powerful vocals, dynamic musicianship, and crowd-pleasing energy, this talented Chicago group doesn’t just play music—they create an experience. Whether delivering soulful classics, R&B favorites, or dance-floor hits, Shea Butta Band knows how to get the crowd moving and keep the good vibes flowing all night long. Their motto says it best: “We melt the stage wherever we go!”

Where is the festival located?
The festival is located on Longwood Drive in the Beverly/Morgan Park community. The festival spans 110th to 111th and Longwood Dr., Chicago, IL.
When is the festival?
The festival is on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, from 12PM to 7PM.
How much does it cost to attend the festival?
Entrance to the festival is free for all attendees.
What should I expect to see or experience activities at the festival?
There will be live entertainment, workshops, and family activities such as sports activities, bouncy houses, art, and much more! Please check the website for activities, workshops, and entertainment times.
How is the festival paid for?
Every year, the festival organizers strive to raise funds through sponsorships and donations. This support allows the festival to be free and accessible to all.
How can I support the festival?
You can support the festival by attending, donating or by connecting festival organizers with businesses or organizations you know that may be interested in sponsorship.
Are there other ways I can help with the festival?
This festival is made possible through the help of volunteers. Everyone within the Juneteenth Family Festival organization works on a volunteer basis. If you would like to help, you are welcomed to be a volunteer. Please visit our volunteer page to sign up.
Day of the Festival
Is there parking available at the festival?
-Street Parking: Attendees may park on non-permit streets surrounding the festival.
–Parking Lot: Attendees may use the Morgan Park High School parking lot at 1744 W. Pryor St (Enter on 111th St). Congregating and tailgating in the lot is strictly prohibited
Where do I enter the festival?
You may enter the festival at any entrance point, as there are no gates or barricades limiting access to the festival.
Is this venue handicap-accessible?
The venue is handicap-accessible as all activities are on the ground level. Additionally, there will be wheel-chair accessible bathrooms on site.
What should I bring to the festival?
We encourage you to bring chairs or blankets so you can sit down and enjoy the festival.
Can I bring a tent?
Due to a large number of attendees, we do not allow tents, canopies or shade structures.
Can I bring outside food and drinks to the festival?
You can bring your own food to sit and eat with your friends or family, however you are not allowed to grill or sell any food on the premises. Only registered food vendors are allowed to sell food. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
Can I purchase food at the festival?
Food vendors will be on site from which you can buy food and drinks.
What else can I purchase at the festival? There will be vendors at the festival selling various merchandise.
Will there be security at the festival? There will be security at the festival and the Chicago Police Department to keep us safe.
What items are prohibited at the festival?
Alcohol, illegal and illicit substances, fireworks, barbecue grills, pets or animals (except service animals), drones or air-crafts.
Can I sell merchandise or set up a business table?
No. Only registered vendors may set up tables to sell merchandise at the festival.
Where do I go if I have any questions at the festival?
You may go to the welcome tent and a festival organizer will answer your questions.
What else do I need to know?
Please remember this is a family-friendly festival. We ask that you respect others and the property of the churches.

As the only festival of its kind in the neighborhood, our mission is to bring together a diverse community to honor and celebrate Juneteenth. Location: 110th and Longwood Dr, Chicago, IL 60643 (near or on the premises of Morgan Park United Methodist Church/ Morgan Park Presbyterian Church)
Date/Time: Saturday, June 20, 2026, 12 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
General Vendor Set Up: 9am
Food Vendor Set-up: 10am
Please note: no early-access or early set-up accommodations will be granted for general vendors. You will not be able to access your assigned area or unload items before the scheduled time.

Vendor applications are now open! Take advantage of the early-bird specials to beat the rush and secure your spot! Space is very limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Spaces will be assigned only after applications are submitted, approved, and payments are received. Once we reach capacity, no additional vendors will be approved.

As festival organizers, it is very important that our attendees enjoy the event free-of-charge. However, this large-scale event is costly to organize. Its success and longevity depend on individual, business and organizational donations.
This festival is hosted by Juneteenth Family Festival, a nonprofit organization that aims to honor our ancestors, celebrate African and African-American cultural heritage, unite our diverse community, and connect Chicago residents with resources and services.
All donations and sponsorship for the festival are tax deductible, and 100% of all money collected goes to meet the direct expenses of the festival.
